We're exhausted and a little confused, but hope to make a full recovery. We'll miss you, we'll never forget you, we'll most likely never be back... but we'll always have a special place in our hearts for you, dear Punxsy.
The seer of seers, prognosticator of prognosticators, weather forcaster extraordinaire, the one and only Punxsutawney Phil, saw his shadow and thus there will be 6 more weeks of winter. Phil is right 100% of the time.
We stood on Gobbler's Knob for almost 3 hours, saw a great fireworks show, and sang and danced. We had our thermoses of coffee and cheered on the dancing banana dude. Our Seattle buddies made it up just in time for the fireworks.
We slept for about an hour at the community center before getting up and heading for the bus. Liz and I tried to wake up the guys, but failed! We left without them, but only after taking some photos with their camera. We got on the bus about 4AM.
These are the guys we met in Punxsutawney. Steve and Darin were from Seattle, but live in Boston now, and Mike is from New Jersey. They were sooooo fun! We had a great time hanging out with them. They were "normal".
